Hey, I am installing my AEM tru-boost and AEM UEGO wideband gauges today, and was wondering if anyone has some hints to make it easier. Im guessing I will have to drill through the firewall to run the wires/hoses, is there a 'best' spot to do so? Also I read somewhere that I should pick up some new weather stripping for when I put on my new a-pillar, is there a specific kind that I should pick up that would work the best? Any other hints would be much appreciated, thanks!

Yo, I have a 91 but I'd think you'd have the rubber bushing that holds the steering wheel shaft through the firewall. I just poked a hole in it with a flathead screwdriver and then tied my wires and stuff to a coat hanger and ran it through.
If you do it this way the lines will come out behind the intake manifold.
I took off all the front stock bezels and gauges and routed the hoses and wires behind all that stuff to hook up to my boost gauge.

Hope this helps.

^ Thats what I did works fine looks clean. When I routed my wiring it went from the firewall under the brakebooster then tucked under the windshield washer line. I just used those 2 rubber holders that keep it in place so you can't even tell it's there.

Yeah like they said, the easiest thing that doesn't involve drilling into the fire wall is going through the steering wheel rubber bushing. In order to not damage the boot, i drill a hole in the right upper most corner of the bushing.

Thanks guys :thumb: , I havent started yet, I just got back a little while ago from a shop that drilled a hole and welded the bung on for me for my wideband. Gonna start in a couple hours when a buddy of mine gets off work, hopefully everything goes smooth.... We just installed my Apexi turbo timer a few days ago, and it turned out perfect.
