OK ill give a brief description of my setup for those to lazy to check my profile. Im running on a 50 trim at 20 lbs with denso 660's, buschur fpr and 255hp, magnacore wires and ngk bpr7es. I use an safc and pocketlogger to tune.
I'd like to talk about the low throttle tuning. I origionally was using rre's low throttle tuning method of cruising at the rpm ranges you have set with your safc and zeroing your fuel trims. Well this method got the car running origionally but i suffered from some very undrivable conditions, partial boost would break up and buck real bad from being rich and shifting at any point above 3000rpm would feel like crap, very clunky and nasty feeling. I put this off as a result of the afc and associated it with everyone elses complaints of the afc's lack of functionability and crappy partial throttle. After getting used to the logger and getting a better grip on some of the areas i was a bit shady with i started to notice some things on my logger; which is a hard thing to watch while driving as you know.
I was thinking about the hi-lo throttle points. If i have the lo set at 30% throttle im boosting by that point, like 10 pounds before i shift at like 4000 or whatever. But the way i was tuning was just holding the throttle at that specific rpm point and zeroing my fuel trims, meanwhile the cars not in boost, not near that throttle percentage and rolls at three grand with a good a/f. So im thinking wow thats awesome, this is retarted. So i went about tuning the low throttle a little differently, still going on fuel trims mainly but instead of holding that throttle point and zeroing the trims i just came up through the rpms at a good throttle percentage, like 20 - 30% and watched the logger as it hit the first rpm point which i have set at 1000 and repeated this till the trims zero'd. I did each throttle point 1 at a time. I did everyone point like this till like 5500 or so whatever my setting is up there and after 5500 they are all the same. I did'nt go past 5500 or whatever because if your at 30% throttle all the way to redline your an idiot.
So now the car runs awesome part throttle but when you come out of the throttle it runs really lean and the fuel trims are at like 17 which is a positive number which is what the computer is adding. This is because before in order to get the fuel trims zero'd my way i had to take out a ton of fuel. I'll get my settings and post them here soon but they start at 1000 at like -12% then go straight to like -20's and -30's. Maybe i just went about this the wrong way totally who knows, ill tell you what the cars runs awesome. Better drivability with 660s and a 50 trim than it did stock. :thumb:

Was kinda wondering if a chip would fix this or just get dsmlink and control everything myself. Cuz this lean condition worries me, is it that bad cruising like that, my timing is still the same.
