So today I tried to get on it on the freeway and NO BOOST. I get home, and actuator arm came off. Ok, no big deal, but I go to put it back on with a new clip, and apparently when the old one rusted/broke off, it left peices inside the hole for the pin. I tried hammering it, but its really tight in there and i cant get at it at the right angle. i tried poking it. nothing. I tried soaking it in pb blaster then trying again. STILL nothing.

Anyone know how to take it out? :dsm:

PB blast it, then heat it with a torch, the PB blast it again when it cools. Then try a punch and a hammer.

Tried PB blaster and nothing. Tried to hammer and nothing. I dont know if putting a torch on PB blaster would be a good idea =\

Did you try using a paper clip? I had the same problem with mine, and I used a paper clip to push it out a bit. If you're trying to push the pin towards the driver's side, i don't think it'll slide out, so try to push it out towards the passenger side (if that makes any kind of sense) You shouldn't need a hammer since you pb'd it already. Work out enough of it to grab it with a set of needle nosed pliers.

Hope this helps. :talon:

[EDIT: On the plus side, I've been using that same paper clip to keep the actuator arm in place and haven't had a problem yet.]

If the clip rusted out then you should be able to use a drill bit of similar size. I can't say how easy a drill would be to fit in there though. You might be able to get away with just using your fingers.

Good luck!
