Act2600 clutch step help

ok i got my tranny back out and sent the flywheel and disk and pressure plate to a very reputable clutch shop to have the step set and flywheel resurfaced being it wouldnt engage. I told him to step it at.610 and he said he would put the whole assembly on a machine and test it and get it right. he said the step was .620 when i brought it to him. no wander it wouldnt work. he said he set it at .606 and that it wouldnt work at .610. does this sound alright. he tested it on a machine i know.

i have read that all ready. just dont see how they could be wrong. they do this day in and day out.

centerforce says -.608 +.005/-.000 on the papers that came with my clutch.

so it can be .608 or greater up to .005, but not less
