i changed mine 700 miles ago.. and now its clattering and i can feel it in the pedal..

amazing product. :thumbdown .

that is all.
 
I had bought an ACT 2600 and figured since I Was gonna replace the TO bearing that I might as well get an ACT one. After buying it I had heard quite a few ill stories about them not lasting long at all. Glad I went OEM.
 
Did you guys get the NSK TOB with your ACT. I thought those were the OEM with the plastic sleeve. I just got my ACT clutch, it has the NSK TOB in the kit. I took it to the dealer to see how it compared to OEM. It was the same.:confused:
 
I had OEM before and the one i got with the ACT was a plastic sleeve but it was different than the stock one i pulled out, it seemed .. bigger.. or something..
 
I use a mcleod hydraulic TOB... When I do the flywheel swap I'll have to take pics and share the part #. Nothing like having no clatter or TOB fork at all...
 
Please get us the part number on that, I am VERY tired of killing Mitsu OE TOB's within months.

well i found a site that sells them (mcleod's site) but they dont seem to sell one specifically for our cars, so a part # is a must.

Yes but having a clutch pedal that feels like an ACT 2100 with a 2600 plate is worth it.

My old clutch was around 2100 (twin disc homebrew- failed) felt lighter than stock with it.

All the extra force that went into friction and other losses in the more complex fork system is gone. The bearing moves perefectly perpendicular to the pressure plate and all the hydraulic force from the master cylinder goes into moving the bearing directly. Bend a clutch fork buy a billet one, kill an oe TOB, have one rattle and eff up the shaft etc etc... it made better economic sense to me just to spend the money on the best bearing I could find. It is also adjustable on a level far beyond the OE system...
 
so are we saying the NEW ACT TOB (NSK) plastic sleeved part is still inferior to the OEM TOB? What's this about the sizes being different?
