Hello everyone

Recently I put my car together with an act 2600 pressure plate, street disk, and act flywheel. At first it wouldnt fully disengage so i had to pull the tranny out and shim the pivot. I then adjusted the clutch master rod some and it was able to disengage. I drove the car yesterday for almost 3 hours no issues. Today i drove for just 15 minutes. I came up to an intersection and stopped. I go to take off and the clutch now was slipping and wouldnt fully engage. The tach would go freely and the car barely moved. The weird part is that it doesnt smell like burnt clutch at all and usually thats the first thing you smell. I am completely unsure of what happened. Any pointers?

Are you able to move the fork by hand? If the clutch is over adjusted and the slave can’t self adjust it could slip the way your describing because the friction disk isn’t making complete contact with the flywheel

Also if it’s a new clutch/flywheel you shouldn’t need to shim the pivot ball, when you say it wouldn’t disengage do you mean it wouldn’t shift at 7000rpms? Like a Clutch drag test? Or that it simply wouldn’t go into gear at idle? If it’s the latter it’s probably your shift linkage needing adjustment

I can move it by hand towards the slave cylinder.

So the car goes into gear fine. My issue lies when i actually drive it. Ill release the pedal and it will move but its moving as if the clutch isnt fully engaging and its slipping.

If slave is releasing it almost has to be the clutch itself or an axle. Have you launched the car? Check rear axles fir breakage and front to make sure one didn't pop out. Will feel like a slipping clutch.

I havent even gone near 7000 rpm

I never launched it at all ive been babying it for less than 100 miles. The axle sounds pretty possible! It would make sense considering the clutch doesnt smell burnt. 😮 ill check it when im home thank you so much guys

You are a legend. The front passenger axle popped out. I took everything apart and found i was missing a washer behind the axle nut. Besides that im not sure why it popped out. It had the clip on the splines that go into the trans as well.
