Acceptable voltage at idle under load?

Same at first made me worry sense my cummins is always running 14+ but every dsm i have seen runs mid 13's about.

that's cause our alternators suck bawls!! ROFL

Mine shit the bed on me in fact.

But an acceptable voltage in that situation should ideally always be 14V+

I understand this is ideal, and like you not the best luck with alternators (RIP #6, Hardly Knew Ye). But adding a decent load some drop has to be expected, while staying at or above the battery's 12.5, yes? I'm wondering what is "normal" or average for our lovely alternator eaters. I'm very near having an ongoing problem solved, but I want to know just how low is acceptable not just at idle, but idle with a decent load (let's say 40 amps or more). Anyone?
