I have heard so many positive reviews on these wires, so yesterday I received them and they looked nice..But when trying to install them, the fit was horrible! I read these are perfect fit compared to other brands. I was running Magnecores, but they were arcing badly, which is why I purchased these.

When I was installing the first wire, I noticed it did not go down all the way in the spark plug well and they just move around freely...It just does not feel right. So I took it back out of the spark plug and I see the outer rubber piece came off the wire and got stuck in the spark plug..:notgood:

In this pic, you can see wires not fully seated:

I tried installing without the rubber piece at the end, but still does not feel right, I'm getting backfires when boosting...Well I guess this is the first bad review I have seen on this site :notgood:

Anyone dealt with this matter?

Hmm, I see, are they still supposed to fit like that? Like in the 3rd pic? They do not fit snuggly like my magnecores.

From what I heard is there is no warranty once you have ran them, should I call the manufacturer and show them pics? So frustrated, should of just bought OEMs.

Oh strange, it is not plastic piece in 2nd pic, it is rubber insulator type that all other spark plug wires use, except the other ones are like stuck on the wires real good, unlike these.

I bought them off a vendor on eBay and contacted them already, they said it is strange, that they never had any problems with them and to contact the manufacturer, I called, but they are closed :banghead:

I have had the same set of Accel's on my car for 7 years and have never had a single problem with them. I like them much better than the Magnecor's that they replaced.

I just went out and snapped these pics. As Paul mentioned, yours are clearly not seating fully on the spark plug. You can definitely feel it when they engage the plug and push out a puff of air as they seal (unlike the Magnecor's which felt vague and I couldn't tell for sure if they had engaged).

Pull one of the plugs and try to insert it into the terminal so you can see what's going on and how it fits.

Edit: If you have a micrometer/caliper measure the diameter of the plastic end thingy (like the one that broke). It kind of looks like it's a bit too big to properly fit down into the plug well.

Look at the Two different pics. They are not the right wires. The lower pics from Romeen show the correct wires. The ones you posted are too long and when you forced them down you jammed the rubber in so hard it came off the wires. Contact the seller and get the correct wires for your car. And from the looks of it you have a set of honda wires check the box. LOL.

They were definitely switched at some point. Those wires are clearly not the correct ones. The vendor should exchange those for you. You can take a picture with them next to your other set of wires and email it to the vendor.

Hmm, so that is the part number correct? I read that part number not only fits our cars, but it fits other cars as well. So there isn't a specific wire/part# for our cars?

Never had a problem where they mismatched wires in a box from manufacturer. Will contact both today. :ohdamn:

Your plug-end boots look way too long. I'm willing to bet they were mis-boxed. It happens more often than most people think.

I agree.

Yes, 7920R appears to be the correct one. They have a one year warranty. I would definitely contact Accel. If you send them the pics they should be able to see that the boots on your set are too long.

Well just an update, returned and receiving refund :)

99gst_racer, you say you sell these? Wondering if you can sell me a pair of the correct ones for good price :D

Also I will put this as resolved, as I was sent wrong wires, so no bad reviews for these wires, would like to clarify that :thumb:
