can you please share some information about the AC fan speeds? how does it speed up and when? my ac is always on but i never seen the fan on high speed. when it should be on high ?

also one more question , i have connected the two fans ( ac and radiator) so they can kick together and off together and they seem to work perfectly ,however i have connected them as follows on the picture below

the last relay on the right ( lo ac fan) with relay number 4 which is ( rad fan lo) that is under the (tail lamp) they both kick well now but is this the right way or shall i connect number 2 and number 5 relays as per the vfaqs?? if you tried the vfaq way can you share if your ac fan kicks on HIGH when the ac is on?

thanks

Ok assuming you have a 2g, 2.0L turbo, MT, and have the factory 4 wire fan and fan wiring and fan relays unmodified and working, and want both cooling fans to go on high speed when the ECU turns on either one do the following:

1) Connect the ECU pins 20 and 21 together and still connected to their ECU pins (http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/2g-turbo-ecu-pinout-w-wire-colors.281763/).

2) Connect the Condenser (driver's side) fan motor wires blue-white and blue together (and still connected to the fan) with at least 14 gauge wire. These are the color of the wires on the harness side (not fan side) of the connector by the fan.

OR

If you want it controllable by a switch you could do this: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/cooling-issue-plus-wiring-them-up.273645/#post-151319397. But you'd still either have to also do #2 above or turn on a working AC in order for the condenser fan to go on high instead of medium.

Just for reference it's 108 in Texas and I have a 2g auto with a front mount and my factory setup is more than enough to keep the car cool

It is vital that your car still has all of the factory turbo heat shielding. If any of that heat shielding is missing it causes the heat to radiate back up into the engine bay instead of going out the tail pipe

Put your heat shielding back on or click my profile of the 98gst to see how I eliminated ac cooling issues

I have a hx40 with fp housing n fp manifold I got a heat shield on the fp manifold and the turbine housing I have both stock fans . 30 percent coolant 70 percent water .New compressor expansion valve and filter.3 yr old Cx racing radiator. The vrsf intercooler with the factory radiator shroud modified to fit the vrsf . U can put a paper in the intercooler and it it will suck it with the fans on . 180 new thermostat , new engine and coolant temp sensors. All this on the 2gb talon front bumper . Without ac the temps stay between 203-213 in 108 weather. With ac on it will range from 219-226 so it’s like Dead on in the middle on the factory temp gauge

So what's the problem?

You should be able to change fan speed settings in the ECU to trigger both fans at a lower temp

If your ac isn't keeping up there is a temperature sensor on the condensor controlled by an ECU to prevent the evaporator from freezing over. The controller has a dial on it that was suppose to be set for each respective region by the dealer. So if you have a non native car in Texas it's possible the AC ECU is keeping the compressor from working at full capacity to prevent the condensor icing over.

My next step would have been to bypass the evaporator temp sensor but with the manifold blanket, turbo blanket, and 02 housing and down pipe wrapped, my ac was able to keep up pretty well. If your compressor cycles too much it could be the AC temp switch

just checked it again. and now the temps are staying between 213-219 without the a/c on today with 95 degree temp so didnt even bother to use the ac scared that it was gonna make it go past 226. i went into dsmlink and turn both fans on high and it droped the temps down to 196 pretty quick....so im kinda lost on this one. maybe i do have to have the fans on high for my setup. idk why i would though
