Spyder AC fan and radiator fan will not turn on

Hi guys! Everytime i have looked for questions on my eclipse this forum has always came up and had all my questions answered. Well this time i havent been able to find a answer so i made an account to make it easier. Just got a 97 eclipse spyder from a friend because i totaled my last one. Finally got it running but its overheating because the radiator fan isnt kicking in. Yes i have looked at other forums but none from what i see have the same problem. The A/c fan also doesnt come on nor no lights on the a/c controls in the car come on or work. I replaced the thermostat thinking that was the cause of the radiator but that did nothing. Im going to replace the ECT next but that doesnt seem right since the A/c does nothing. Dont know if its a wiring malfunction/Fuse/ or both fans are shot. Just wondering what yall would recommend before i dump money into parts that dont need to be replaced. Any help would be great. Thanks

Start by checking your fuses and relays.
My relay went out, which caused no fans.

how can i check to see if they still work besides buying new ones? Because i checked the fuses are they are all good.

If the fuses are good, try and jump start the fans directly to the battery to make sure they operate.

okay thats gonna be my next thing i try. All relays are good. used a test light on them and all of them had power running to them except for Rad. (hi) could that just be because the cars not hot enough?

Well the coolant temp sensor is what activates the fans. Thats another possibility. Jump start the fans and if they work, your problem might possible lay on a bad CTS.

If the relays and fuses are all good, then do what Spanky_DSM said. Direct power the fans. Its not likely that they both died at the same time, but theres a chance.

the coolant sensor. your talking about the ect correct? Also i cant turn the ac on in the car either. no lights no air or anything when i turn the nobs. just nothing.

On my 94 Plymouth laser I have two sensors one on the bottom of the radiator and one on the side of the thermostat housing. which one is the CTS??

The small one is just for the Temp gauge (one wire) in your cluster and the bigger one is the CTS (should be 2 wires).
