ABS Question

If I were to simply disconnect the wiring harness from the ABS unit in the engine bay, what effect would this have? I'm putting the engine into my car today and don't have time to source the non-ABS distribution block and lines and all I have are ABS blocks (like.. four of them.) however, the wiring harness I have is hacked up. Would this simply cause it to default to non-ABS or would it block the pumps off? My guess is the first one, since you still have brakes when you have no power, though I'd rather question the community for confirmation.

it would just revert to just regular'ol brakes. You wouldn't wanna jam the brake pedal down to hard cause you'll screw up your tires and leave flat spots.
