? about 2G axles ?

Hey guys on the stock 2G rear axles is one side tapered to fit into the L or R side of the diff?

If so which side goes where

Reason i ask is because a friend has DSS axles and one side is tapered and we are trying to get things mocked up but DSS is closed.

We have tried fitting the axle which is tapered into the driver's side of the rear diff but it seems like it does not seat all the way into the diff .......you can't see any splines sticking out but it just doesn't look right.

With that the other axle in the Pass side of the rear diff it fits in there perfectly and seats all the way w/o any gap.

I hope this makes sense i'll try and take a pic for you.

Pics taken w/ c-clips out of axles and everything loose just to show fitment.

We will call DSS first thing tomorrow morning but hope someone can help shed some light
