2G A/T to M/T Swap FWD question

I have been searching the forums looking for info on doing the swap.
I have a 95 Talon.
I have found info on the 1G step by step swap - Very nice!
I also found a few threads on doing the 2G swap but all of them are on AWD.
I of course have a FWD.
Is the process pretty much the same?
Can an AWD tranny be used on a FWD without much mode?

You need a awd tranny.

You need a awd tranny.

You need FWD tranny. But yeah, it's pretty much the same. Just ignore anything having to do with a t-case.

You need:
1) FWD tranny
2) Shifter cables
3) Shifter base
4) Clutch
5) Clutch lines
6) Pedal assembly
7) Clutch Master
8) Clutch Slave
9) M/T ECU (I believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong)

That's the info i was looking for.

But it seems now i might end up with a 95 AWD that needs an engine for $500 from a friend.
So i might just throw my engine in the AWD and be done with it all.

That sounds like a better plan.

You could also just fix the engine in the AWD and sell the FWD complete and running for alot more than you would get for it with no engine or with a bad engine. Just something to consider.

Ah, I see, yeah then you got the right idea...
Wait... you have a N/T with a turbo? Then you won't be able to swap engines with an AWD.

AWD's are Turbo aren't they?
My FWD is the Tsi so it has the turbo.

awd is turbo fwd can be tsi and not be awd.
