Ok heres the story, I was driving back from the mall and there was a slowa** on the highway, I reved my engine twice to get him to move. When I put it back into drive it bogged down the downshifted to third tachin out at the same time. I pulled over, restarted it and it seemed to be fine. I got back up to bout 65 and it did the same thing again. I went to autozone and got the codes that the output speed sensor was bad and the 4th gear ration was incorrect, I replaced both speed sensors to be sure they were good. I went to test drive it and the same problem. But now the only codes I get are the third and fourth gear ration are incorrect. In first and second gear it drives fine, and there are no noises that are abnormal at any point it trying to drive it. Any ideas on what to check or what might be wrong?

Oh I should aslo mention if it matters, I have a stall speed torque converter also.

I did some more work on the car to make sure it wasnt the battery being low or connections bad, and now if the car is not in overdrive the tranny shifts almost perfect!? Im clueless.... any help please

Your end clutch is going out. Your 4th gear. It's a weak link in our trannies. Get the alto end clutch kit to replace the 4th clutch. You can do it without dropping the tranny. Otherwise do not use overdrive for the time being. I only use OD on the highway.

cool, im going to try the tcu also cause I can get on at a good price, but I will be sure to try that next if the tcu is good. Thank you

Im going to check into gettin a new end clutch, now the tranny will not shift to third and fourth with od on or off.

I havent had that much time with work, and the places Ive tried to find an end clutch, event he shops around here have no clue what Im talkin bout. Any ideas of where to look? Also, Im thinkin of just convertin it to a manual, a race shop down the road called zerolift said it would be 1500 to 2000 and thats parts and labor, in your opinion would it be better to just convert it?

Thank guys, Ive decided to just go ahead and convert it. With all the probs Ive had its all the shifting so to take care of it, Ill make it shift manually :)
