A/F staying at 14.6 ?

Hey everyone.

Ok so I am having a bit of an isue. My PLX M300 wideband was working great 2 days ago. Then I washed my car and all went weird. So my A/F stays at 14.66 - 14.69. There is no real change from idle to WOT. I can not figure out nor do I understand what is going on. I am not sure if it my WB or if my A/F is really staying at that.

Has anyone ever seen or had this happen to them ? If so what was the cuase ? thank you in advance.

Happened to me before. I took the o2 sensor out and cleaned it. That fixed my problem.

Ahh, Thanks Icekilla I will try that and see if that fixes my problem. Hopefully as the track's opening day is sunday, And I do not want to run it like that if it is going to hurt me.

How do you go about cleaning a Wideband sensor?
Wash it around unleaded gas, seafoam....

I have cleaned my front o2 sensor with gas before.
But a wideband is more sensitive.

I was just about to ask the same thing . I do not want to kill the sensor

sprayed it with a little carb or brake cleaner few rubs of a rag little more cleaner then blew it dry.

Carb or brake cleaner will work. Also auto zone sells o2 sensor cleaner. I would say clean the o2 sensor then make sure none of the wires going from the sensor to the gauge got split or came loose.

Ok, So I Figured out my problem. The wires for the wideband under my car got tore apart, Some how they were dragging on the ground and mutilated them. so now I can either try and fix the wires or buy a new wideband. I am going to try and repair the wires and see if that works out.
