I am having problems getting a a/f reading even close to what it should be. I am trying to get it right on a 97 Eclipse spyder and the current mods are Pace setter down pipe and cat. HKS Ti cat back, Hks ssqv, injen intake, Aem Gauges boost, oil pressure, a/f, i think thats all that's on the car. I did a boost leak on the car and found one near the injector seal and the biss screw. I fixed them both no problem. putting 20lbs on my air comp i have no leaks from which i can tell with soapy water and my ears but the a/f is still off like the 16's just letting it sit with it on. :banghead: I sat in the car and i noticed with just the key in the on postion when all the gauges come on that the a'f is still moving but now it's in the 17's and like i said the car is not running. Would this give me a clue to whats going on or no? Whats else is there other then boost leaks that will make a a'f not right? Also i forgot to mention when i go to WOT the aem a/f gauge goes all the way to the left and then goes the three straight lines me guessing that's just off the scale. What is doing this please help i need to get it right so i can throw on dsmlink ... ect i have waiting

With the car shut off and just the key on is not going to give you an accurate reading. The car needs to be running.

It will run 13+ afr when its not under load (idle, cruising), there is no strain on the engine then. When you are under load (accelerating, going up a hill, ect) is when its important to have your afr in check.

My wideband is before the cat. The cat came with a bung installed already with it it's made like that :hellyeah: At idle it's like 16.4 and as soon as i put my foot about 1/4 of the way down to the floor the wideband reading already went left (lean i think) off the scale it doesn't even read. Why does the a'f go up and down with the car off if air and fuel not mixing it does jump a lot only one or two points but it does move with the car off:hmm:. Anything other then boost leak messing up a/f's

exhaust leak hmmm didn't know that. I know this might sound funny but any easy way to locate a leak like that easy or no? Like i know it might not be a good idea but something like the soapy water test for boost leaks. The reason i ask is cause thinking about it i can't notice a exhaust leak. To mess up the a/f on a exhaust leak could it be in a certain place?? It must be before the o2 sensor for the wideband right?

No from what i understood i shouldn't have link installed until a get that a/f ok... Would it be easier to hook up link and post a log. let me look up this seafoam stuff

Thanks for all your help i will install link tomm and post a log for you The seafoam stuff looks a lil crazy but the next up coming oil change if i can't figure it out by then i will buy a can oh by the way nice color 2g thought it was green at first till i looked at your pics

definitely sounds like a exhaust leak...maybe your turbo manifold is cracked or a leaky flex section...
