A/C issue

Ok, I am having an issue, i believe it is the compressor going, just want to get second opinion and make sure. Sometimes it works great, sometimes when i turn the A/C on, the compressor either doesn't engage at all or engages and cycles out. In both instances the little green indicator light on the A/C button flashes. Wondering if anyone knew if it was a factory trouble code and what it means

Does the system have enough freon? Try replacing the pressure switch on the bottom of the compressor.
