99 gst with fixed crankwalk? good buy or no?

I have a chance to buy a 99 Gst for $6500. Now the car is mostly stock, a chic drove it. Her dads making her get rid of it because shes got 3 cars. That leads me to believe shes spoiled and had every mod done professionally. It had crankwalk but the dealer fixed it by installing a new engine probably in 2000-2001, not sure. She said it was replaced at 50k miles, and its on 87k right now. Its a bada$$ car, honestly i used to work for a speedshop before and i've seen some pretty shitty rides. Now my question is what are the chances that the new engine has crankwalk or will get crankwalk because i'm scrounging to get this car and I DONT need any problems with the f'n crank! I'm going to try and have a mechanic check for it, Do you know if the crank will move if the cranks exposed and pushed by hand left or right? Sorry this is so long i'm a newbie.

The chances that the new engine is that same chance that any 2g DSM has. The new engine wont be more susceptable the crankwalk just because the old engine had it.

Just have the crankshaft checked for endplay. If it's looking good, then you are probably fine. The chances of getting crankwalk once are low. The chances of getting it again are far lower.

i had been looking for a gsx for about 4months and couldnt find one that i liked so i got my gst.. the only down side to my gst is that now inthe winter time im gonna have to store it... im very happy with it even though im only fwd

i'm afraid she knows its getting crankwalk again cus the same symptoms are coming back so she's selling it before its too late. I dont have time to wait for a gsx and plus if i finally do find one i wont beable to afford it and it definatly wont be 6500. If any other car i'd want besides this one is a 94 gsx. I love the way the console is right next to your thigh, feels like a jet fighter cockpit. buttons at your fingertips kinda deal. short shifter....damn

My dad owns a shop in colorado springs called speed demons...or did, sold it to our mechanic and he rents the building anywho...one of his old employees built a 98gsx...damn that shit was boostin HARD. i dint know it at the time since i recently got into dsms, but thats what i want my car to be like. even though mine will be a gst.
It had magnesium wheels fully built motor boostin some 26-27 psi. it was like rrrreewwwwwwwAAAAAHHHHH!!!
i was only in second for like 3 seconds or somthin. it was nuckin futs! i would have drooled over that car if i'd a known...damn. I might beable to get a pic. of it.
If any of you live in the Springs yall might know him... i dont know his alst name but everyone calls him jeff, hah i guess thats his name...sorry this is so long.

When I was looking into a 2g I remember someone telling me, the low chance of crankwalk should never stop you from getting a badass car, also there are more important things to worry about.
