99 dsm theft alarm issue?

Ok so when i got my eclipse not too long ago..i noticed when i would open the doors no lights will come on(Rear view mirror,lights near the feet area)and well i left it be..but it got annoying because it would be pitch black when i would enter my car...so i checked the fuse in the engine bay..it said lamp something i forgot..well i put a new 10a fuse in there ### the one it had was burnt..so then after that the lights turned on and everything..then i noticed the factory alarm also went on for the first time i had it(it has no after market alarm) well and it got annoying because it would sound off it i lock the door with the switch on the passenger side and open the door with a key on the drivers side...and when i would take the fuse off...everything would go back to normal...no lights no alarm...but the only thing i wanted was to have lights inside the car when i would open my door..### it just gets too dark...is there anyway to keep the lights on inside without having the alarm on?

Or do i have to keep it still with no lights -.-...
i have a 1999 eclipse gs(10th anniversary edition)
and does anyone have a link for the fuse box on the drivers foot area? because when i bought it, it had no cover..thanks everyone!

is your hood switch behind the drivers headlight still in place & plugged in? this was my problem.

I'd like to see some replies on this. Mine will go off at random when it's locked.

The door switch's that actually sit down at the bottom of the door sill, tell the interior lights to come on when the door is open. I would replace them, they are very cheap 5-10$. Very common for getting intermittent, and if they malfunction the alarm system could think the door is popping open. Also would be the reason why the interior lights don't come on.

Plus 1 on the door switch if your junkyard doesn't have any DSMs try seabrings or avengers they use the same door switch

Ok i already purchased a door jamb switch thingy online...i noticed the one on the drivers side is messed up..hopefully it fixes the problem! thanks guys!

No problem, they actually sell them at autozone and advanceautoparts for like 7$. I had to buy one last year. Sorry for the slow reply, Hope that fixes it!

Nope it didnt work ): i replaced the door jamb that was malfunctioning and put the fuse back in and the lights would come on ! but...if i lock it and open it like a minute later..the alarm will go off...so i took the fuse out so i guess ima stay lightless inside my car ): need to get a gst or gsx that has everything funtioning properly really soon..

#1 is the alarm system factory??
if not there may be issues with the aftermarket one.
#2 make sure you unlock the car with the keyfob and not by using the key in the door, that can trip the alarm, especially aftermarket ones.

Its the factory alarm...and i only have the key ): the guy didnt have no remote...should have boughten a better condition dsm -.- that has turbo...
