hey guys im trying to install my driver-side axle on my 98 auto gsx ,and for some reason the axle does not want to slide in all the way ....i know i had to knock it out with a 2x4 and a hammer like i was told to do and now that i have my new transmission in ,it doesnt want to go in and it needs about 1in more to go .
does anybody else have this problem or any suggestion as to how it needs to go in?

-thanks

How hard did you try ramming it in there? When i did mines it took a pretty considerable amount of force to pop her back in. I just backed the axle out a bit, make sure it was aligned straight and popped it in with one solid thrust. Took just 3 tries before it actually took. The biggest thing is making sure you push it in perfectly straight as any non-linear energy exerted is wasted force when pushing it in.
