hey guys like alot of u guys know i had a 6botl swap in my spyder after my 7 walk well ive put about 2000k on it and it spun another rod bearing :notgood: so this time i dont think im fixing what do u guys think i should do? part it out? or sell it hole its a 97 spyder gst 148k had new 6 bolt few upgrades nice inside outside needed paint what do u guys think i should do with it????
 
I didn't think rod bearings getting spun had anything to do with crankwalk...? Am I wrong here? I thought that was another seperate catastrophic failure.
 
nope im sure its crankwalk did the same thing as my 7 bolt. i know alot of ppl have parted out turbo 5 speed with bad bottom end how much have you guys got out of it??
 
A spun rod bearing is NOT a crankshaft thrust bearing faliure. Maybe you should think before you post. Theres already tons of people that post about bs crankwalk everyday, it's getting old.

oh no my garden tractor got a spun bearing the other day from lack of oil, must be crankwalk!

o mine had oil and trust me i know what crankwalk feels like but my clutch wasnt acting up like most must be a 6 bolt thing anyways anyone have suggestion on what i should do?? just thinking about it i dont really think mine was crankwalk just spun rod bearing :|

so you have had 2 engines with spun bearings and 0 counts of crankwalk


id buy a low mileage 6 bolt engine and stick it in, or just get the one you have rebuilt by a different shop then the first time since its possible they screwed something up, and also would check into why it spun (loss of oil pressure possibly)
 
the first was a 7 bolt that did walk since it lost presure in the clutch and the 6 bolt i dont knwo it only had 2000 if that after the rebuilt and had only been boosted for like 200 of those miles
 
Who the hell is working on these motors that you supposedly crankwalked. What type of clutch are you running also?

I spun a rod bearing on my 7-bolt also and had to replace my clutch master cylinder. I must have had crankwalk also. :rolleyes:
 
You did not get Crankwalk. Stop lying. I bet the first time wasn't Crankwalk either.


You spun a bearing, that sucks, get a new shortblock and have a good mechanic work on your car. Don't do it yourself.
