97 spyder tuning

i read the sticky for tactrix open port 2.0...well before i order this i just had a few questions...since the 97 ecu is not able to be re-flashed and i need a 98-99 could i pull my 98 gsx ecu add a power wire to power the ecu and run this program to bypass all the wiring needed to splice in the turbo ecu?...or is it just easier to get a 98-99 spyder ecu?...i'm a bit confused on the topic as far as the proper ecu's go. thanks for them help.

Your going to need a eprom ecu from a 95 or 1g. Unless its a 2.4l then I'm not sure.

Is the spyder turbo? arent the ecus the same between spyder turbo and non-spyder turbo? The spyder top controls are mechanical and not goign thru the ecu
