Well, this is my first blog entry, as I am new to DSMtuners. I purchased my Spyder in August, drove it as is until I went to start it on one cold november morning, and it wouldn't. Crank gear jumped a few teeth on the timing belt and bent valves. Just the opportunity I was waiting for to do a total rebuild! As the car sits now, it is in the shop on a lift where its been living for the past 2 months. Suspension was out, and is finally going back in today after recieving Tanabe springs, GR2 struts, Energy suspension kit, Megan Racing trailing arms, a new rear suspension crossmember, Eibach camber adjustable ball joints, and all suspension arms power coated sable black. Look brand new! Engine is coming out this week to begin the overhaul, and the car will go to the paintshop for a fresh spray of black. The plan is a 2.3L stroker running an FP Green and DSM Link, tuned for around 400-450 hp to the wheels. Local maching shop of choice is Northeast Auto Machine in East Hartford, CT. These guys know their DSMs. Thats all for know, updates and pictures to follow.
