alright, heres the deal, i had a 1g swap done on my 97 eclipse a while back, prob a year since the start of the swap, but i have only had my car back with me for about 6 months. anyways, had a lot of problems with the place that did the swap, basically they suck and didn't know shit... so i just got tired of them and now have my car back, but it feel slower than stock, they never fixed the RM issue, so i have my TPS sensor unplugged so that i can drive it over 60, and at idle, the car is kinda jumpy. like it sound kind of like a cylinder is out, but not as bad.... it will be fine for a few seconds, then a sort of low backfire type sound will happen, but its a ver faint sound and when the sound happpens, the rpms sorta drop for a second then come back up, and you can feel it in the car if you are looking for it. anyways, i am wondering if there could be something screwed up with the internals, cause i have tried messing with the idle adjustment screw and it doesn't help. i mean the car drives and for now that has been good enough, but its pretty slow now, and i even have nightmares about being beat by stock civics... i realize the description of the problem is kinda vague, but hopefully this will help with narrowing down to more specific things... i mean i would just be happy to have my car back to fast as stock and working on the freeway. sorry bout the long post. thanks in advance
on another note, my shifting is all messed up too, hopefully the tranny is not going out, but sometimes when i have the clutch all the way in and i go to switch gears it still sounds like it is grinding through the shifts, and it is also hard to get it into first unless i am at a complete stop for a few seconds.
