97 AWD spyder no spark

What's up guys (and gals) I recently bought a 1997 Eclipse spyder this is AWD swapped. Super clean rust free car. Currently the car has no spark. I have the stock 1997 ecu, a 1995 EPROM and a AEM series 2. I have tried 2 stock coils and a coil on plug setup. Car has a evo 9 CAS, I've also tried a 1g black top CAS. Still no spark. I have power and low volt power to the coil pack plug. I also have power and signal from the CAS plug. If I leave the coil pack plugged in the pack will get hot and make a sizzling noise. I've searched and searched and have bothered dozens of my friends who know dsms and I cannot figure the problem out. Any and all help is appreciated

If the coil pack is sizzling, it is probably damaged now. It sounds like you may have a shorted out PTU, as well. Or the wiring from the PTU to coil is wrong.

Did the car run when you bought it?
