96 GS-t Cat back

How much would a stock cat back for a 96 GS-t cost? My friend is saying that for his GS, that cat back is probably the best thing he can get for his car, and i just wanted to know how much one in decent condition would set him back. Thanks

They can range anywhere from $550 for a great cat back, to going to a muffler shop and have them make you one for probably as low as $150. Depends on what quality cat back exhaust you want.

Really depends on what he wants as far as quality/brand goes. There probably aren't as many choices/price range as the turbo but on a pre made cat back turbo exhaust, you can probably start in the 200's and go up to close to $1000. Most descent systems are in the $450-$650 range.

I think the guy is asking about STOCK catback! So check the dealer or maybe somebody on this forum has their old one for sale!
Aren't all catback designs the same for all 2G? I thought they were! I know I can get a turbo one for my 4g64! They are often made a better quality as well!

no the GS and RS aren't as good as the Gs-ts....

but as far as finding one, check around muffler shops, sometimes the Gs-t boys upgrade to an aftermarket and leave their stock, you might be able to pick it up for dirt cheap.

I did not say that! I said just the opposite: turbo CB's are often better quality when you buy aftermarket(or stock)
I was thinking of the design(the shape, bends) are the same! except AWD
So you can get a turbo 2G catback instead of one marked for GS/RS and it will fit!

The gst catbacks are better than the gs/rs and they are relatively cheap...people mod then dont want the stock exhaust
