i have a 95 talon tsi awd, and it has a idle surge problem. its sometimes difficult to start first time in the mornings then once it warms up it starts fine but doesnt have a steady idle and it is at sorta low rpms. there is no check engine light and i have the obdII system. it runs fine when i give it gas and under boost it pulls strong with no misfire or hesitation. now the person i bought it from said he thinks the owner before him had a more aggressive cam put in, would a camshaft cause this idle problem? i have no symptoms of a boost leak and if my sensors were going bad my obdII system would throw the check engine light right?

No. Don't confuse input and output. The ECU does not know if your IAC is in correct position. It also doesn't know if the biss is in position. You have to check these things manually. You can check all your sensors but do not assume ECU will catch those. Check them yourself
