rev limiter removal
hey guys, sorry if this has been asked too many times, but i cant seem to get a straight answer. i've been told "cut a wire and add a resistor" " cut a capacitor out of the ecm" "remove or invert the cam sensor"

we have a 95 taolon 2.0, non turbo, stage 2 cams, high comp pistons.... we are racing it in the cuthroat world of "hornet racing" dirt track oval....

how do i remove the limiter.....

Are you really gonna get that non turbo fast enough on a dirt track to exceed the rev limiter? All you are gonna do is blow the piston through the block...

your going faster than 120 on dirt ovals? That must be a suicide attempt every weekend.

Edit:
Failed at reading, Are you really gonna be turning more than 8k? Ever?

no, we are not hitting over 120mph on the track,,, prob is that we need a couple hundred extra rpms, by the time we get almost into the turns, the rev limiter kicks in, and if we shift to the next gear, we're screwed ### we just have to downshift 1-2 seconds later, needless to say, we loose places going up 1 more gear, and run out of rpms in the lower gear. the speed shop assures us the motor will handle the xtra rpms, and besides, if we blow it up thats our prob. an answer would be much more helpful than your critisism and attempts at humor
