Just picked up a 95 Talon with a 420a and started hearing this noise from the trans.
It is present on acceleration and deceleration and only when the clutched is engaged. I tried to use my stethoscope and could not recreate the noise.
From what I have already read it could be a myriad of things. The plastic pads on the shift forks from being worn, oil slinger, the 5th gear synchro floating, ect.
Does anyone have any ideas? Trans shifts really well, I do not hear the noise about 3500 RPMs, and it has fluid. Trying to avoid tearing into the tranny as long as its not serious.
