I am not sure what is wrong with my car when I first start it up it sounds normal but when I give it gas it starts to knock around 2000-2500 rpm. It sound like it is in the top end. I pulled the dipstick to see if there are any metal shavings and I didn't see any. Any ideas of what this could be. Thanks

What does the sound "sound" like? A rod knock is going to sound different than a valve tap. And if it seems more towards the top end it is more likely a valve tap
How long have you had the car? Check the timing for one.
And also you can always pull off the oil pan to check for shavings. You are not going to see many if any on the dipstick.

Have you fiigured anything out on your talon? My 97 gst is doing the exact same thing and do not want to tear the engine out unless I have to. Please keep me informed much help needed!

I figured out mine was a rod knock!!!!:ohdamn: I took my pan off and piston 2 rod bearing shook like a mother!!!>:/ o well looks like a rebuild in the next weekend
