well obviously i have a 95 its a fwd talon. Im having an issue with getting the car running. I have found that the ecu is not getting power. The ecu is good i have pulled it apart and inspected it. I know my mpi relay is good because it was pulled from a running and driving car. I never seen the car it was pulled from but the owner of that car came to buy my car for the motor as his blew up. Anyway i thought i had a bad mpi so he brought his to test it and gave it to me. So after that gave me the same symptoms i pulled the harness out of the car to check over the whole thing for breaks and what not. I found some things wrong but still didnt help. Im kinda lost here. So while i was in the harness i found some plugs that were pinned wrong i fixed that also. Now this is where i need your help. I couldnt find anything telling me what color wires go into the mpi relay and in what order. So if a fellow 95 owner could please pull their relay and tell me or take pictures and tell me what color wires are coning from what location. Thanks in advance guys i hope someone can help me here.

I assume you are referring to the MFI relay.

Pin #1 Black/Blue
Pin #2 Red
Pin #3 Black/Red
Pin #4 Red/Black
Pin #5 White/Red
Pin #6 Blue/Green
Pin #7 Black/White
Pin #8 Red/Black

Pin #4 & #8 are the same color and are actually spliced together farther in the harness.

Have you checked that the grounding is getting to the ecu and that the ground pins coming into the ecu are soldered well onto the board?

I would plug everything in and take a multi meter and check to make sure you have continuity from the negative battery terminal /chassis /block /ecu and the ground pins on the harness. This is an oddity but I had a ground wire break on one of my cars and started doing some really insane stuff. I eventually figured out the block wasn't grounded well and I read posts about ground connection pin issues with the ecu.

Next are you sure its not some other issue? Dose it crank and not fire? Buy some noid lights and see if fuel injectors are firing, and have someone do a compression test.
