The guy who owned this car before me must have been mentally challenged to put it lightly because he had no idea what he was doing and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out his stupidity.

I'll start off with the ignition switch wiring (9). I'm wondering if anyone would have pictures or a diagram regarding what color wires go to specific pins on the ignition switch male connector. The guy either bought a new connector or made his own putting new pins in while connecting all like black wires to the factory wires leaving one completely unhooked.

Another issue I have is with the neutral safety switch. There are two identical connectors (6) & (7) that can plug into the switch farthest from the firewall, the one that was connected seems to have 4 wires coming from the same place on the harness but two are cut and nothing was done with them, I have no idea what they are for. Does anyone know what color wires need to be going into the front switch.

This brings me to my next question of why is there a switch for when the clutch pedal is pushed in, it has a female connector (2) that I cannot find a male to match. It's hard to take good pictures with my phone under the dash with me under there so try to bear with me.

Thank you in advance for helping because I need it, can't seem to find diagrams anywhere. Also I haven't started the car yet so I don't know what works and what doesn't, I am trying to fix everything to the way it is supposed to be so I don't have as many issues when its ready to start and drive.

#1 - Neutral Safety
#2 - Other clutch switch female connector
#3 - Other clutch switch
#4 - Brake Switch
#5 - Brake Switch Connector
#6 - 2nd Neutral Safety Switch Connector
#7 - Neutral Safety Switch Connector that was installed before I messed with it
#9 - Ignition Switch Connector

The cruise (disable) switch is located at the clutch pedal up position (you called it #1 - Neutral Safety). It has a 2 pin male connector with wire colors black and black-red.

The clutch pedal position switch (you called it #3 - Other clutch switch) is located at the clutch pedal down position (but it's connector is above the pedal). It has a 2 pin male connector with wire colors black and green-black. Some people cut or unplug it so they don't have to always push the clutch pedal down to allow the starter to work. They claim it reduces thrust bearing wear (which results in crank walk) by leaving clutch engaged while starting.

Thanks for confirming my research, I have the Neutral Safety switch unplugged and the cruise control disable connected with the black and black red but the green black and black are still cut above it. I did find a diagram that tells what pin on the ignition switch is what colored wire allowing me plug it in turn the key and turn it over. Thanks for the help!

I was wrong about the diagram telling me what color wires go where, this is the only diagram that I have found explaining wires going into the ignition switch. I drew a diagram of the connection in my car, I'm wondering if anyone can confirm if these are going to the correct places or do I need to move some around? As I said I turned the motor over Wednesday using the key the way it sits. I want to make sure the wiring is correct. Thanks!

Pin 1 - White
Pin 2 - Black with White
Pin 3 - No color, not connected to anything
Pin 4 - Blue with Black
Pin 5 - Black with Red
Pin 6 - Blue
