Whats up guys, I just got a 96 tsi awd and the guy before me had the radio wired in wrong. The constant 12v wire has no power so he wired that circuit all the way into the ignition switch. I've read a few threads where people had no power at the 12v constant wire and they just ran a wire from the battery to the radio, I would prefer not to do that. The radio fuse in the underhood fuse box is good and has power there. My question is, from the underhood fuse box, where does that circuit run through before it gets to the radio?

Solution
From the 95 FSM is looks like it starts at the battery to fusible link 2 (60A in relay box under the hood) then to dedicated fuse 11 (10A in relay box under the hood) and from there through the junction box and onto pin 11 on connector B-31. There is an additional constant power to the amp (on cars with an amp) that also comes from fusible link 2 (60A in relay box under the hood) to the multi-purpose fuse 1 (15A junction box drivers footwell) to pins 2 and 10 on connector E-08.
I'm not big on electrical, so that would be easier. However, the manuals for these cars have wiring diagrams for those that want to learn.

Well the radio was working fine when I bought it. Everything is wired up, only thing is that the constant 12v wire has so power so there is an open in that circuit. Does that circuit run from the underhood fuse box straight to the radio or does it run to the inside fuse box too?
