Well today wasnt a very good day cause I broke my cell trying to put the head on by myself and thats what i use to take pics. I got the head all torqued down with the ARP head studs, put in the front case and water pump too. I took a bunch of pics with my cell but I cant see shit out my screen so im ####ed!!

Hey, do you think you could give me a quick rundown of what exactly is going into this engine , and prices?

I want to do a stock rebuild with all arp bolts and HKS 264/264 for my 16g setup. I am planning on running a stock valve train. Do you think i should replace the valve train with new stock springs, retainers, ect..?

Im just trying to get some numbers in my head for prices. BTW I love the black block!

7 BOLT FTW!

I picked up EVO pistons down slowboys for 100 bucks with rings, rods, and brarings. I used the top line gasket kit, balace shaft eliminator kit, balanced crank, ARP main and head studs, polish crank, OEM timing belt,ACL bearings, and little stuff that im forgetting. my total was like $780 for everything

Looks good, keep up the good work!

It's a really good feeling once they start for the first time and you can go drive it.

So did you have any trouble using the evo pistons? what rods did you use i actually have an evo internal 2g 7 bolt at the shop right now and its having bearing tightness issues

They fit fine in the cylinder. There is a guy on here "Gixman", he used EVO pistons on his 2G and he said it worked for him no problem so Im just doing it like he did. I used the EVO rods cause they are stronger than the stock 2G ones. Thats weird your having bearing tightness, mine spins freely no proble but I had my crank with pistons and rods all rebalanced so everything would be smoth.

Nice build you have going there. What kind of numbers do you plan on pushing?

Im not sure what it will be pushing, this was just a quick build for me. My goal is actually to stroke it in the future, little by little I will get my parts in. I dont have a boost controller so its gonna be running on stock boost for now.ROFL

Well half of my screen started workin on my cell today so I could kinda see what I was sending. Here are the pics of yeasterday afternoon.

Man, you're moving along faster than I am. I am waiting until my cometic head gasket arrive before I continue. Good work.

I didnt know you were doing your motor.. what all are you doing to it? Im hoping to have it completly done by tomorrow, but hopefully its warm out cause I cant work in the coldLOL

My bottom end is completely built. Forged Wiseco pistons .020 over, Billet steel Brian Crower
H Beam rods. My head was rebuilt stock, 16g turbo. I haven't bought injectors yet though.
