95 GST will not idle!!! please help

my gst hasnt been able to idle since i bought it.. it will start fine, and it
will run, but only if i keep my foot into the gas pedal..
i took it to a local import shop to have them look at it,
but with no luck they told me the checked everything from
compression checks to checking the ignition system, and
im just not sure where to check from here!
it has a 6 bolt swap in it that
was done before i bought the car. looking for advice please!!

Check all of your gaskets. Does it still run like crap even when it does run with your foot pressed on the gas?

do a boost leak test first then fix any leaks.

it runs good when the pedal is pressed.

Any boost leaks and what rpm is the idle at?

I havnt done a boost leak on it, but it will not idle at all. If I take my foot off the gas it will surge once at a really low rpm then die
