2G 95 Eclipse GSX engine swap in a 97 Eclipse GS

i have a chance to get a built 4g63 out if a 95 eclipse gsx with around 330hp and was wondering if it would fit into the engine bay of a 97 eclipse gs

Not with out a ton of modification. Do some searching. The topic has been covered several hundred times.

Those topics usually say something about you should just buy a turbo DSM shell

You can bolt in an Evo 8 block into a GS with less modification than a front half clip.

No idea, but why would you want a gs with a swap just buy a gsx or a gs-t

Just because you can get pieces for a good price, does not mean you should go through with the project. There is alot of mods to get a 4G platform into a gs body.

If you can get a good engine for that price, buy it, then hold out for a usable she'll or blown motor roller. Then you can build the motor on the side and collect other parts. Then once you get the shell, you just put it together essentially.
