It has been one year since i have taken my vacuum lines out and I am trying to put everything back together and I have one vacuum line that is driving me insane. I have the early model which has the big canister on the passenger side. It has three lines coming from it. It has a double line and a single line. The double has one line going to the fuel tank and the other to the to my throttle body. I cannot figure out what the other hose connects to.

Ok here is my VECI. I have no clue what the LDP is... Then it is has the EGR vacuum line coming from the LPD, but the EGR line comes from the back on the intake.

LDP = Leak detection pump. Its part of the vapor recovery/emissions crap for our cars.

The schematic shows the line from the EGR going to the back of your intake at a three way. There is another line that attaches to the same three way and goes down to the LDP.

Gotcha on that part. do you have any pictures of what it looks like and where it is located. I do not recall removing any other parts.

I found the REAL diagram for the 95-96 2.0 non turbo. It does not have the LDP that is why I have been going crazy. The extra hose i have is just a vent. the hood on my car is from my old 96(late model) which explains a lot. On my diagram the tee split goes to my FPR and my EGR, which is what I remember being on there.

Im trying to figure out this system myself as well. I recently failed smog due to high HC content and after driving the car i noticed a bad hissing noise comming from the LDP in the passenger side front fender. Turns out the car was in a small wreck and all the internals down there (including hoses) are bisted up. Looking for a new LDP set up if anyone has one they are willing to sell me for cheap. Not many junked cars have that part of the front end in tact :/
