So after going to autozone, they sold me a passenger side axle with 27 splines. My buddy with a 97 gs-t just replaced his passenger side axle, but his was only 25 splines when he pulled it. Autozone listed the 2g GS-T as 27 splines. They ended up selling him a 25spline pass axle listed under the 2g GSX section...This is confusing as hell!!! I have a 97 gs-t as well. So 95-99 GSX and GST are both 25 spline output? Or is Autozone's parts system all messed up!?!

*Both cars are w/o ABS & have M/T.

I just counted my old 97 gst spline and it was 27 and counted my 95 gsx and it was 25 i know my 95 gsx axles my calender date production of the car is 11/94 so i had to order 94 gsx front axles because when i had ordered 95 gsx axles they didnt fit. So take a look at the month and year the excat date and try going off from that. on a side note if your replacing the passenger side cant you just take it out and count the splines and just order the correct one you need?

I don't have any catalogs in front of me but in the 1g the fwd axle changed in 93 up. Likely they stayed the same as far as size goes spline count etc. The AWD did not change. The front diffs are different fwd to awd inside because of this different. That is likely the spline count difference on the passenger side. Not unless the idiot counter folks are mixing up NT and turbo which wouldn't be remotely the same.

I just read on some other forum last night that Autozone uses the same part number for both the NT and turbo cv axles. Try Napa, I had to replace my passenger side one 9 months ago and they hooked me up with the right one.
