95-96bumper/headlight or 97+bumper/headlight

i'm ordering my project headlights tonight and i need to know which ones to get.
would you guys pick the 95-96bumper/headlight or the 97+bumper/headlight.
also would you pick::
black projectors and black euros
chrome euros and chrome euros
black projectors and oem taillights
all is with the center piece painted black

If you go 2ga... the talon bumper IMHO is better. I kept the 95 front on my car because no one does.... but i really like it.

Arn't they both 2g bumpers? Anyways, I would personally go with 2gb, but the 2ga is still awesome looking. Since you have both, just pick which one you like the best!

black projectors and oem taillights!!! Oem taillights will look alot cleaner for the rear and Black projectors will match your car and it will looks nice!!

just black out the headlights and save the money towards some silverstars...

I'd say therefor use the 95 bumper, plus with all the folks doing 2gb conversions you can probably swap that nose for a set of fogs. (unless you want a talon nose (my preference 2ga or 2gb!)

I am doing the 97-99 Eclipse Front on my 96 Talon. I was going to go with the 97-98 Talon Front. But then I relized that there are many 2Gb Talons running around. I want to be the ONLY 3/4 Talon 1/4 Eclipse in KC I already found a bumper for $100. I just need to go pick it up and have it painted.

Total Conversion Cost:

$100 for 97-99 Eclipse Front Bumper
$259 for paint
$135 for headlights

Equals to.....$494

I would go with something different than what most people has.... find some 95-96 black dual projector headlights, go with the 95-96 bumper, and maybe go with some kind of front addon, not the kaminari, but there is one that I think is awesome that I cant find the pic of anymore of course it'll be up to you

Honestly I think the 97 + TALON front bumper is the nicest and most aggressive looking of the 2G's

agreed, and I see 10-1 2gb eclipses vs EAgles. And there were a lot of eagles sold here.


In my hometown in MS it was about 50-1 for 2gb eagles.


Not so discrete there since the cops thought it was "bodykitted" what with the big spoiler and front bumper. Had one compliment me on how nice my "kit" looked at a stoplight.

I wanted a GSX... but different and unassuming. (lots of ESIs sold here so they look identical to Officer Not-So-Friendly save the rear bumper badging)

I think my 2gA looks WAY sweet with the grille cut out (see below).... I plan on adding some material to direct air towards the IC soon.... but I like how the 2gB is perfect IC size.....

I agree with the look of a 2ga with a nice fmic and the grill cut out, check mine out.

P.S I say he should keep the 2gb bumper on unpainted to take people's eyes off that wing, just my opionion.

I swear everyone is doing the 2gb conversion now...

I personally think 2gb bumper is the better choice..but you'd be more unique to use the 2ga bumper instead..but its all up to you.

How did you get the 2gb front end to fit on 95-96 style headlights? When I tried that it didn't line up at all.

i know half you guys are gonna laugh...but i mod'd both my talon '96 lights to fit the eclipse 2gb conversion. ive done two cars already...

and im gonna do the same to my third. if youre real anal...with the right tools and the right material it comes out real nice. no has ever been able to tell in the past, til i pointed it out.

Isnt it just a direct bolt-on and the bumper just overlaps the headlights? I have a 95 GST with a 99 custom front end and they just overlap??

I am new to the DSM world, but I like the 2gb talon bumper. I have a 96 eclipse, will that bumper still bolt right up? Also wher can I find one? I have been looking and can't find one anywhere.

EBAY! not not oem but many have atested to the good quality and looks near identicle.

another bumper that looks really hot is the 97-98 talon... its got a the more aggressive bumper...

Go with the 97 up eclipse bumper with black projectors if you must change your tails I would go with black housing euros. It will look clean.
