95-96 smiley bumper question

Does anyone know if the "teeth" in the 95-96 smiley bumper come out easily? Bolted in? Is cutting required? Has anyone removed this to do a mesh grill mod? I'm considering it, anyone else try this or have any other ideas/tips?

I've done some searches on the smiley grill, but most people are just suggesting they replace it...

i'm not sure but i think the "teeth" are part of the bumper...

You can cut them out with a dermel, very easy.

I cut mine out with a dremmel and filled it with screen from ACE. Easy mod, helped to make room for the FMIC. Take a look at my gallery for pics.

And I recommend putting in a bug screen behind any type of mesh or plastic. Well at least up North here in MN we get some rather large flying insects that put nice dents into your FMIC.

they are only on 95-96 eclipses by the way.........
95-96 Talons had no teeth,,, like grandma!!!
