all my gears in my 1993 automatic talon es sound like neutral...i dont have reverse, drive, 2nd, or low gear..

i got on it a bit pulling out of a gas station then all of a sudden my drive sounded like it was shifted to neutral.. no wierd noises or anything occured..i pulled to the side and shut the car off and restarted it and threw it back into drive and there was nothin besides my rpms revving up..

i checked my trans fluid level and it was fine and it did not smell burned at all..i am not leaking any fluids and when i shift through the gears, there is no halting with the shifter, it shifts through fine and you can see the trans arm shifting too under the hood...

i am not a transmission guy, really i have no work time at all on a trans..i was told it may be the tcu or the torque convertor but was told my trans itself seems fine..can anybody out there shed some light on my problem???

Sounds like the torque converter. If the TCU was gone you'd likely still have some movement or even limp mode.

sounds like its the torque converter man take the tranny apart and inspect it before doing that replace the tcu see if that helps
