My goal with this build is just to have a fun little daily driver. Something I can play with at the strip and get decent fuel mileage. I'm shooting for 350whp and anything over 30mpg. The car was basically free with a few goodies(2g fwd trans and brand new act 2900). So what is a sane person, with a light weight car sitting in the back yard and a spare 6 bolt long block, to do? See how it fits. Sat my homemade intake and turbo manifolds on it for good measure. Looks right at home to me

So that's how it sat after my partner in crime lost interest and bought a hayabusa.
Fast forward a year or so and a few moves later.....
So I have a mirage with a 2g fwd turbo trans, brand new act 2900 clutch, and a bone stock 6 bolt just sitting in the back yard. Since my gst is in pieces right now I decided to push it into the garage and see what I could do with the parts I have laying around.

Pulled the engine and transmission to work out a issue with the mounts, and freshen it up a bit. This thing still had the OEM timing and balance shafts when I pulled it apart.

New valve stem seals
BSE
ported oil relief
ARP rod bolts
cometic hg
lower gaskets and seals
Gates racing Kevlar belt
2g timing side mount
Not much but its a start.
