92 Tsi cant get to start at all

so bought this car running awesome, let it sit in the garage over winter

now it wont start

have used starting fluid
changed ecu's
all spark
fuel pump is on
compression sounds fine
changed mafs

cranks all day but will not start......

any ideas?

ps not sure y it decided to choose 2g.....

Here is a good thread to start checking, try to run through as many of the items as you can.

From my experience, I had a no-start issue caused by a problem with the Coolant Temperature Sensor, it would take a really long time to start. But I also had a CEL for it once it did start. This seems to be a fairly common issue for 1Gs.

Is the boost guage going to zero when you turn the key on. 1Gs are notorious for ECU caps leaking.

Well kegler, he said he has spark... I'd check the CAS..

Did you try draining the tank and using some fresh gas?

Is it hitting and just not starting, or does it never hit at all?

Yes new gas, changed ecus all 4 had spark, have to mess with the cas, I'll check the coolant sensor, thanks for the inputs

Alright, so did some messing around today, turns out if I unplug the injectors it runs but shitty like but when there plugged in it just cranks any ideas?

Cas, check grounds, map sensor was my problem on my motor build. Check the plug order. DONT USE STARTER FLUID.

+1 on the coolant temp sensor, my gsx had the same issue.Drove me nuts!
