What is parts are necessary in order to make this a success?

92 Shifter?
92 Cables?
90 Tranny Brackets?

A friend of mine just put a 92 tranny in his 90 and needs advice.

No, you'd have to use everything from a 1991+ car. This includeds the transmissio brackets. Everything will bolt right up. Make sure you check the splines on everything to make sure they match up as well.

Transfer case splines are diffrent.
Shift cables
cable mounting brackets
shifter.
Everything needs to be converted for it to work properly.

looks like its time for you to start following a new religion....

I give you, your bible:

read it, live by it, preach it,

I give mad respect to the guy who took the time to take pictures of every part thats different between the 90 drivetrain and the 91+ drivetrain... that takes some serious bordom issues...

Thanks TSIfreak and dedlewamp thats all I wanted to know. I searched before posting this and found the thread that tstkl pulled up and there were a few mixed opinions so wasn't sure who's advice to take.:thumb:
