have a 1990, will a 92 work tranny

Just bought a 1990 gsx, tranny is messed up (grinds)
Well i know for a fact you can put on a 92 on there, but what else would i need in order to work fine?

You would need to change your 90 shifter and possibly the shifter cables out with ones from a 91-94. Also the bracket that hold the shifter cable to the tranny is different.

You can find a couple 91-94's at the pick & pull over on Clark drive in Stockton.

Any 91-94 dsm shifter cables and shifter will work. make sure you get the shifter cable bracket that holds the cables to the top of the tranny also off a 91-94.
