I was looking at the part numbers for the 95-99FWD trannys which is F5M33, I also noticed that 3000gt's and Stealths use the same part number tranny.........are those tranny's compatible with my car? I mean common sense says yes........just wondering though......

Although they have the same code, I have always seen them listed separately (and with different prices) when looking through catalogs and sheets from boneyards.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could use the 45/55 planetary diff from the AWD. Yummy.

I don't have an answer for the question but I have something to add. The automatic 3s non turbo tranny is the f4a33 which is the same as the turbo automatic 2gs.

My guess is that the internal components are the same, but the tranny mount is in a different place. Much like the 4g63 in the evo is technically the same motor as ours, but it is not a direct bolt in.

It would be nice to use there Getrag trans

'til it grenades and you realize that you can't rebuild it, they're hard to come by, and the dealership wants around 6 grand for a new one.
