92 tranny install

i have a 92 fwd turbo tranny installing it into my 92 fwd eclipse. Basically i need to know all the touqing specs for the bolts from pressure plate to the flywheel. The Bellhousing bolts to the block aswell and any other bolts that have to be to spec. And also I was wondering while the transmissions out of the car, why the shift bracket only shifts into 3 positions, the other shift bracket doesnt seem to move at all. Is there something wrong, I figured it would go into 5 positions. If you have a pic or something that shows me how to go threw the gears while its out of the car that be the bggest help ever. What do you mean Itle only go in 3 Positions on the shift lever?? like itle only go 1st, 2nd, 3rd? or what? the Arm that moves in and out doesnt move??? It should go into 3rd and 4th with out having to move it up and down.

yea the in and out arm doesnt really move. I tryed it, maybe since one of the other gears is ingaged it wont move? Maybe I gotta try it a little the trans has been outa the car for a while

Sounds like the trans is cooked. it should go into Every gear smoothly. I would just take the casings off and see if theres anything broken. put in a Gear, and turn the shaft, and see if it moves.

I put in a 90 trans from my parts car and when I pulled it out, I moved around the levers also, it wouldnt go into R, I thought it wasnt a big deal. Welp now im stuck with a trans that doesnt go in R.

reverse is on tha level as well? Each level should have 3 positions, correct?

Try turning the input shaft by hand while trying to push it into gear. Sometimes the syncros aren't lined up and won't slip into gear without a little movement.

Each level should give you two gears with neutral in the middle.
