The previous owner swapped out the '90 shifter cables in favor for '91 shifter cables, along with the shifter and bracket.

Now my question, to the members with '91+ shifter cables, can you guys adjust the cable that goes forward and backward (not side to side) from the cabin?

The reason I ask is because I cannot. I can adjust the one that goes side to side, but not the other one. Why? Because the shifter cable that goes front to back is solid. There aren't any jamnuts or anything. Is this the '91 shifter cable?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Those cables are not original. So the answer is yes and no. Original cables were both adjustable. The ones that you buy from the dealership only one is adjustable. I went through the same thing when my cable broke and I had to get new ones. I have pics if you need them to show the difference. The new ones work just fine and needed no adjustment at all. Your may nee a bit but most likely not.

Thats what I thought, thanks.

Could you post the pictures ?

One last thing, where did you get your cables?

Thanks again.

Damn Im blind, I didn't even notice the duck :p

Yeah, the left one in the bag is what mine looks like. How much are the ajustable cables? Around $120?

Thanks for the picture, I appreciate it.

That I know fo you can no longer but the dual adjustable ones anymore. I tried to find them and had no luck. The dealership only has one part number and that is for the single adj. You would have to get them from a junk yard and they may be in bad shape. Sorry.
