I have been trying to get the clevis pin in and did successfully once but can't get the cotter pin or washer on. Is it recommended to remove the dash cause I am tired of doing headstands on the gas pedal. Is it supposed to be ridiculously hard or am I missing something. I have lost 2 clevis pins somewhere above the mount. This is on the clutch. Any knowledge on this is much appreciated. I am going insane!!!

Really, the easiest way to do it, is to leave the little bracket on, and just unscrew the master rod from the OLD cyl and re use the little piece that connects up to the clutch pedal assembly, then put in the new one, bolt it up, and re screw the master rod into that little forky thingy.
No, please don't take out the dash, use your head to push down the gas pedal, it's not that hard! Push in the clutch while attempting this and it will take tension off everything to make installing things easier.
