I've been trying to find a starter for my car for a while I've puttin ones from other cars in and it doesn't work at all.

And when I look on sites there's no option between manual and auto when trying to get a starter for the year 91

Or is it just a awd fwd difference

Could someone please help me I need to get my car running

90-94 FWD N/T 5 spd. starter = MD172860
91-94 FWD N/T AT starter = MD172861
91-94 FWD Turbo AT starter = MD172860
91-94 AWD Turbo 5spd = MD172860
91-94 AWD AT = MD172860

Looks like all the starters are the same except for 91-94 N/T AT. Don't quote me on this. It's late and I hate looking thru CAPS for p/n's.

I just tried a 5sp starter and it makes a wierd noise and drains the battery really quick but it does enguage and hit the fly.

Now idk if this is still the wrong starter or the starter is just dead

Please help I've triep 4 starter from auto cars
This is the first from a manual tho
